The Translation Centre recruits external language providers exclusively via formal tender procedures, which are published on the TED eProcurement platform and on its website. However, on a very exceptional basis (especially, but not limited to, unusual domains and/or language combinations) we assign different language services by negotiated procedure (specific contracts), provided that you satisfy the following conditions:
1. You are based in an EU Member State, or
2. You are an EU citizen living in a non-EU Member State.
If you satisfy the abovementioned criteria and offer translation, editing (monolingual revision of a text written by a non-native speaker), post-editing (full and light post-editing), subtitling or transcription services from and into EU languages, and you would like to work with us on an exceptional basis through negotiated procedures (specific contracts):
1. Please fill in this document, being as precise as possible.
2. Send it by email with your CV to the following email address: email@example.com
The Translation Centre is also seeking language providers able to work in language pairs from EU into non-EU languages (regional and minority languages included) or from non-EU into non-EU languages (e.g. Chinese into Japanese). For such language combinations (EU into non-EU and non-EU into non-EU), we encourage EU citizens and linguistic service providers to also get in touch with us by following the above-mentioned procedure (points 1 and 2).
Acknowledgment of receipt
Once you have sent your spontaneous application, we will send you an acknowledgment of receipt. If the analysis of your CV and documents is positive, we will contact you to request the additional necessary documents.
Please also note that registration in the Translation Centre’s database for negotiated procedures entails no obligation on the part of the Centre to assign tasks to companies or individuals registered in the database, and therefore the Centre stresses the fact that this registration is without any guarantee of task assignments.
The personal data submitted in your CV and completed application form will be processed pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data by the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies and on the free movement of such data.
The Centre will process this data solely to analyse your application in order to register language service providers in the database. The forms will be kept for a maximum period of 12 months after receipt and will be destroyed/erased after that date.
