MÁS DE 25 AÑOS COMPROMETIDOS CON EL MULTILINGÜISMO
El Centro de Traducción de los Órganos de la Unión Europea (en lo sucesivo, «el Centro») es una agencia de la Unión Europea (UE). Establecido en Luxemburgo en 1994, su misión principal es proporcionar servicios lingüísticos y de traducción a las demás agencias descentralizadas de la UE. También puede ayudar a las instituciones y organismos de la UE que cuentan con sus propios servicios de traducción cuando existan picos de trabajo o en proyectos específicos. The Translation Centre was proud to take part in this year’s Multilingualism EU Summer School 2025, a flagship training programme for promising master’s students in translation, interpreting and law from universities across the EU. Hosted in Luxembourg at the heart of the EU institutions and bodies between 7 and 11 July 2025, the Summer School offers future professionals in language and law a unique window into the world of EU multilingualism.
The 2025 edition of JIAMCATT, the International Annual Meeting on Computer-Assisted Translation and Terminology, offered a dynamic platform for discussing the latest advancements in language technology, AI and terminology management. With contributions from key EU institutions and global organisations, the conference this year explored the theme 'Minds and machines: solving the quality puzzle', with a focus on ensuring quality and collaboration across multilingual workflows.
On 11 April, students from the University of the Upper Alsace (Université de Haute Alsace) visited the Translation Centre to find out more about what we do and how they can start navigating their future careers in the fast-changing language services industry.
We’re excited to welcome AMLA (the Anti-Money Laundering Authority) as our 77th client, reinforcing our commitment to supporting the multilingual needs of EU agencies. Through tailored workflows and a mix of AI and human expertise, we provide a wide range of language services. We look forward to supporting AMLA with their critical mission and adapting to their evolving language needs.
Our director recently spoke at the LT4All 2025 conference in Paris. She addressed the conference theme, ‘Advancing Humanism through Language Technologies’, by discussing the role of AI in translation, emphasising that human expertise remains vital for quality assurance. The Translation Centre is proud to support multilingualism through innovative, AI-based language solutions.
